She has had the privilege and joy of being married to Rev. Aaron Rousseau, a Chaplain in the US Navy, for almost 18 years. Together, they have shared in the adventures of parenting their three children, Gabrielle, Nathan, and Abigail.
A bit about her spiritual journey:
Lenora grew up in a Jewish household and continues to celebrate the Sabbath as well as other Jewish traditions with her husband and children. In the wake childhood trauma and sexual abuse, Lenora began exploring a variety of spiritual paths to find a sense of wholeness. She eventually found a home in Methodism and now serves as an Elder in the Methodist Church.
Through the process of counseling, spiritual direction, and considerable personal reflection and prayer, Lenora was able to experience profound healing and transformation - witnessing for herself Divine Love's power to shine light into the darkest places of our souls and make something beautiful out the broken fragments of our shattered hearts. Because of her personal experience, Lenora firmly believes that no matter what we experience in this lifetime, Sacred Love pursues us and makes a way for us to rise up out of the ashes, filled with joy, peace, and hope.
In her early thirties, Lenora began to discern a call to ministry. This led her to attend seminary at Asbury Theological Seminary. During her final years of seminary, Yoga became a vital part of her self-care as she sought to finds practical ways to embody her faith and manage the stress of every day life.
Through it all, Lenora has enjoyed searching for seeds of 'light and truth.' The diversity of her own spiritual journey and path of healing is part of what inspires and enables Lenora to genuinely feel at ease journeying with those who come from vastly different traditions in meaningful and supportive ways.
Lenora studied both Finance and Modern Dance at San Diego State University. After earning her B.S. degree, she went on to dance with Anaheim Ballet (formerly known as Coast Ballet Theatre) as a ballerina in the Corps de Ballet, Demi-Soloist, and Instructor. During that 7 year period, she also worked as a certified nutritional consultant and personal trainer.
Following a knee injury that brought her hopes of pursuing a professional dance career to an end, she fell back on her finance degree and worked as an independent Chartered Financial Consultant until she founded Cambridge School of Ballet. While serving in this role and being actively involved in leadership at Spring of Life UMC, Lenora began to discern a call to ordained ministry which led her to attend Asbury Theological Seminary.
After graduating Asbury with a Masters of Divinity degree, Lenora and her husband, served together as Associate Pastors at Trinity UMC in Gainesville. While there, Lenora integrated her passions and gifts for holistic soul-care by launching a variety of Fresh Expressions, including wellness and dance ministries. She was ordained as Elder in 2019. Since then, she has stepped out of pastoring in the local church to use her gifts for ministry in extension ministry.
Lenora's vision and mission:
Since her time dancing with Anaheim Ballet, Lenora has been passionate about finding ways to practically integrate holistic soul care into her every day, ordinary life in ways that lead to greater wholeness and wellbeing. Experiencing the benefits of Yoga (on and off the mat) has been an important part of that journey for Lenora.
Her aim in founding Pointe of Grace Project is to share all that she has learned along her journey (and continues to learn) with others who are seeking to find ways to connect more fully with the Sacred and their most authentic self in order to lead a more joy-filled, purposeful, and vibrant lives.
Lenora is especially grateful for the opportunity to journey alongside you and all who those will be joining her in this adventure! Her mission is to encourage each and every person she encounters live the most radiant and brilliant life they possibly can - so that together, we might all be inspired to make the difference in this world that only we can make. May it be so!
Yoga Health Coach, Francoise “Franny” Long is a classically trained chef, 200hr RYT certified Yoga instructor, a certified Health Coach, certified Pilates instructor intern, and an enthusiastic wellness advocate.
Her focus on complete wellness, body, mind and spirit was reframed after a breast cancer diagnosis in 2016. After years working in commercial kitchens and running hundreds of miles training for marathons, she realized that food and exercise are not the only pillars of optimal health.
Francoise took a deep dive in search of the root causes of dis-ease in the body and mind. Incorporating yoga, meditation and honing in on true nutrition she continues to offer guidance and encouragement to everyone she encounters.
Francoise is so grateful to join forces with the wellness team at Pointe of Grace and Brilliantly You to provide tangible, realistic and simple tools for vibrant health.
As a wife, mother of two and lover of life I am so excited to cheer YOU on in remembering and rekindling your brilliant inner light.
